The OMNI buoys are Moored Buoy Network in Northern Indian Ocean and are more similar to data buoys but have the capability to measure Ocean Current, Conductivity and Temperature up to 500m depth and transmit hourly data through satellite.
In addition, these buoys are also equipped with Radiation sensors and Rain Gauges too
