Facilities in OOS
 
To facilitate assembly of data buoys integration, testing and for data management new facilities have been created for NDBP in NIOT campus. They are:
 

OOS Building
 
Integration Bay
 
300 sq.m bay equipped with a five ton EOT crane is used for assembling and testing of data buoys.
 
 
About 100 sq.m air-conditioned space has been created for proper storage of electronic components and testing. It is also equipped with high accuracy test and measuring instruments
 
Shore Station
 
The Shore Station for data reception from buoys is equipped with Sun Ultra Sparc Machines, adequate number of Servers and various other supporting devices.

The data received from the buoys are processed systematically and disseminated to various end-users as per their request by customized softwares like Oceaninfo, Orkapp, Neptune, Archtool, Weblink etc.
